- The PTO then sells the cards to you at face value (what you spend on the card is what you get to spend at the retailer) with the difference remaining with the PTO).
- You spend the card at the retail store just as you would cash.
- As a consumer, it just requires a little more planning ahead (we all have an idea how much we spend on gas/groceries/entertainment/prescriptions a week or a month. The PTO would love it if you would spend it on our cash cards and then use them at the retail stores)!
- It is great for those wanting to start a budget (only purchase what you budget for and try to make them stretch for the week. It makes it easier to keep track when you go over budget. Have you ever heard of Dave Ramsey-this is the envelope system condensed into gift cards)
We can order cards from any of the vendors on this list. Please take a look at it and see if there is anything you might be spending in the next week/month. The variety and options is amazing, almost overwhelming! Vendors range from restaurants to groceries to vacations (anyone going to Disney soon-the school could get 2% of your trip!) The committee running the program has a list of vendors that we will try to keep on hand every time we sell (which will hopefully be every Friday morning and afternoon at school-starting this week).
